life's a durian!

I am guessing you people would be like, okay, I've heard of "Life's not a bed of roses, and life's like a chocolate box or sth along those lines" but what the heck, a durian?! Of all fruits eh?

Kay, hear me out fellaws, I chose durian because I think it totally stinks. Badly! but once you take a bite of its stinking flesh, it could be bitter, sweet or other weird durian tastes! I mean, you wouldn't know the taste until you have actually taken the initiative to take a bite regardless how shitty it smells! And life's well, I think, utterly comparable to that goddamn fruit. You've got to go try it out, you don't stay put at one effing corner in the dark, waiting for someone to come along with a torchlight shining your pathway to your future now, do you? Because that would be bloody well a major-whatever-loser! Try all things out, and hell no, I don't mean do drugs and those sorta bad-in-the-dumps things! Take different chances, go out explore the world, meet new people, learn new cultures and foreign languages. Gain more knowledge of the worldwide. Those kinda thangs, you know?

well, just a sheer thought Ive been going thru in my head and figured I should pen it down here. :))

Nina Stolter, journalist (for Stylesight in NYC), whose fab outfits and even more gorgeous jewellery I kept fawning over during Australian Fashion Week. After oohing and ahhing over her industrial-pretty necklaces, Nina informed me that they are from her own collection, Von Kottwitz jewellery, which she started in 2004 (and named after her mama who is from Berlin).

Each piece is handcrafted by Nina in her studio and is incredibly well priced, especially when you consider how much mass-produced, high street jewellery costs (which every other person is then wearing).

Nina teamed her necklace with her mama's vintage top and Alexander McQueen sandals.
