Mac All Ages, All Races, All Sexes Swatches and Review collections

Mac All Ages, All Races, All Sexes Swatches and Review. The idea behind this collection was brilliant, universal shades in which everyone can wear and look good in. Lately I've been a bit of a eyeshadow junkie, so of course I picked up all shades, along with lippies, and lipsticks. My favorite items from the collection would include Liqueur and Banshee which was simply gorgeous. Check out my swatches below.

    Product Photos

Swatches of Lipglosses Liqueur and Naked Frost Plus Swatches of Lipsticks 5N, Empowered, and Myself.

Swatches of Eyeshadows All Races, Cross-Cultural, Banshee, Showstopper.

Embargo Buster pics

Some brands are still trying to tell us how they'd like their product publicised by us and recommended to readers by us, thank you very much. Pointless to invite on-line writers to a launch in November and insist it can't be spoken about until February 2010. So, hope you'll all love the new Vaseline body cream when you read about it next year. Of course, it's already all over the internet having launched in the states so I'd say its an ill-conceived embargo in the first place?

In an open-wtf-relationship?

As I was rummaging through the holy-shit-huge-stack of piles of papers on my table, my eyes are already running wild looking at my friends' facebook profile, which then, immediately zoned into her status vital. "In an open relationship with [insert name]."

That got me thinking. mmm.. How do one define an open relationship? Without any hesitation at all, I typed "Open relationship definition" on my favourite browser, GOOGLE!

    Here's what it says :

"An open relationship is a relationship in which the participants are free to have emotional, spiritual and/or physical relationships with other partners, often within mutually agreed limits."

Think that's awesome? Here's something that might just knock u straight into comma.

    Types of open relationships

    • Some relationships place strict restrictions on partners (e.g. polyfidelity); such relationships are polyamorous, but not open.

    • Some relationships permit sex outside the primary relationship, but not love (e.g. swinging); such relationships are sexually non-monogamous but not polyamorous or open.

    • Some polyamorists do not accept the dichotomies of "in a relationship/not in a relationship" and "partners/not partners"; without these divisions, it is meaningless to class a relationship as 'open' and 'closed'.

    • Some polyamorists consider 'polyamory' to be their philosophical orientation — they believe themselves capable and desirous of multiple loves — whereas 'open relationship' is used as a logistical description: that is, it is how their polyamory is expressed or implemented. They would say of themselves, for instance, "I am polyamorous; my primary partner and I have an open relationship (with the following ground rules)...."

-Quoted from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I have no bloody idea that there's that many types of OPEN RELATIONSHIP? I mean, being in an open relationship is bad enough what more with all those extra rules and all. Look, if you want rules or of such, why even commit yourself into this shit in the first place? =.= Do you think you would not get hurt by entering into such relationship that is free and wild?

Also, as it is, there are already plenty of problems in life, why create more?

See, I might have an answer to this quirky behavior of humans. Me, for instance, am terrified of commitments and being locked down in a relationship for fear of not being able to socialize around and lack of freedom. Wanna know something? That is not the major explanation! no-0oh. It is the TREPIDATION of actually falling in love with that particular someone and having to break up with him/her. Hence, DENIAL. We, wonderful creatures, often deny the facts just to avoid of having to answer to the questions that are being build up in your excellent-smart mind. For example, "I think I love him/her. Do I? Because I certainly can't stop myself from smiling at each thought of him popping up in my mind. But what if he's not serious? What if we break up later?" and more what ifs to come. So yea, long story cut short, it's always the fright of losing the one you think MIGHT be the ONE/ perhaps of the ONE you are so sure that you both would end up happily ever after only to find yourself many years later, moping around envying other couples, being so cynicism at life and not giving two fucks about the darn wrinkles forming around the once-gorgeous-smooth face because by then, being beautiful is not relevant anymore.

That utter rubbish, aint it? After much heavy contemplation on this, I realised something really important that many has missed. Life's only ONCE in a lifetime. We should just scratch the "what ifs" from our lives and go on with "lets do it with full speed and properly". So, if u do fall in love with a jerk or a nice guy, you get to learn something really important over there. Life learning experience. =)

Running With The Fash Pack....London Fashion Week SS 2010

Gorgeous Model Trish Goff in two different looks at LFW. Love that she is working the same bag and gold cuff in both looks.

Running With The Fash Pack....Paris Fashion Week SS 2010

Being Australia Day (waves to any Aussie readers out there!), I couldn't resist including two Aussies that I photographed in Paris outside the Collette Dinnigan show in Paris last season.

This girl, whose name I have completely forgotten (which I feel super bad about as I wanted to tell you about her label) lives in NYC and has a fashion label with her partner. They gave me a lookbook and I seem to have permanently misplaced it (think it was when I was clearing out my handbag in preparation for my visit to the US) :( But, anyway, she was wearing pieces from her label!
p.s. having a hot Milo and a couple of Tim Tams tonight after supper as my Australia Day Treat! Hmmm okay, so maybe more than just a couple of Tim Tams- crikey they are hard to stop at just one!

Running With The Fash Pack....Paris Fashion Week SS 2010

Michelle, from Australian NW magazine, outside the Collette Dinnigan show in Paris. NW magazine used to be one of my weekly must-reads when I was living back home in Australia: great for catching up on all the celeb gossip during the train/bus ride home.

Chinese Nu YEAR!

Ohkay, this will be an awfully short post as I am rushing to do my assignment which I haven't even had the time to skim through on what am I suppose to do! What a bummer! Also, I am off to dinner in like less than 5 minutes. So all summarized. First day of CNY will be falling on Valentine's day. DOUBLE SUCKY! So genuinely, I am torn between ang pows and a hot date with my love. (That is if he does ask me out?) LOL. I shud prolly drop hints that I'd rather have him as my ANG POW than to go down to Malacca just to sit at one god forbids one tiny corner and PRAY that no one actually notices me.Not to mention alongside with all the paper works and books I'll be burying myself in after this CNY break. I seriously need a getaway with just the only both of us. One day would be fine, thank you. :P

Well, what a startling fact that I am actually writing this post with a chirpy mood notwithstanding the workloads I have to complete later. Honestly, I have the weirdest emotions changes ever amongst the human population! lol.

Alrighty, friends' here. Gotta run! And yes, you guys must be like "WTF? so all she wrote was CNY falls on V-day and she needs a day out with her bf?! She must be mental!"

Good guess, I am mental. =)

    ciaw!

    xoxo

A sheer thought for the day

Have you ever been in a scenario in which at one period you could feel so confident of that particular feeling and at another, it just vanished into thin air? I have. One too many times, in fact. Deep contemplations on why this happens but only to result in no certain answers yet. It has yet to appear to my mind that it could be plainly the cause of immaturity or indecisive with the things a certain someone wants in his/her life. Is it true? I'm not too sure myself. Should I be ignoring all these quirky emotions building up in me? Or do I sit down and strategized on what move do I make next? Or rather be stoical myself and save myself the trouble of even having a slightest pinch of emotion? Ahh... Only more unanswered questions to be added up to my pile of SHIT-I-Don't-Fucking-have-an-answer-to-this-nor-can-I-google-the-answer-of-these-ruddy-questions!

Combustion of mixtures of feelings simply stock up daily in the whichever-part-that's-keeping-most-of-human's-emotions. Teeny bits of that combustion adding up to that stack of  highly-explosive-self-generated might just lead to losing your last bit of sanity. The day you loses that thing I call sanity would be the day you aren't able to judge the wrong from right nor the right emotions for a particular situation. Complicated, I know, but what would the world be without tad complications. World that is too simple to live in wouldn't be much of a challenge, now would it? Then, there would be no war, no hunger, no deaths, no accidents, no all those crappy things that cost us this weird liquid flowing out of our eyes called tears.

That, my friend. is food for thought.

CNY "surprise" proposal!

While fidgeting with my law notes I've received a mail notification from my darling cousin who's been living abroad in Vietnam for like a couple of months. He has bombarded me with the huge amount of responsibilities for organizing this reunion dinner this chinese new year. It was mind boggling at first because it seemed so serious or whatnot looking at his email and also, on the other hand, it was highly doubtful that it will be a successful one. He listed every family members, the amount to be paid, who the organizers are, what events will be taking place at that time, the ones in charge of the performance and of such. (That's the serious part) Now, looking at my relatives and all, they arent as proactive as what they claimed. So them taking part in the events are so uncertain that it might end up being so screwed up and a total humiliation. But oh what the heck! It's worth a try, no?

I say, I'l try to come up with something and we'll see how things goes from there. Will totally blog about the D-day! Total Humiliation o Great SUccess! =)

American Apparel Launches Nail Polish Line pictures

The Full Line Up of American Apparel Nail Polish

    Factory Grey

    Office

    Poppy

There are some really beautiful colours in this brand new nail polish line by American Apparel. Simply called NailLacquer, the range has 18 shades - look out for on trend Factory Grey and ivy green Hunter. At $6 a bottle, they're affordable, and remind me of ButterLONDON's eclectic mix of architectural and bright shades.

2010 Emerging Nail Trends pics

    Revlon Minted

    Revlon Lilac Pastille

There's a real pastel theme emerging for next year's nails, sparked in no small part by Chanel's creamy fondant green Jade polish this autumn. Two new shades from Revlon launching in March have caught my eye, Lilac Pastille and Minted - both must-haves for holiday nails (because I feel they need a bit of a tan to wear well and not strip colour from hands). I'm quite keen to try them with black moons or tips too - especially the lilac - for statement nails. Watch out too for some stunning shades coming from Marks & Spencer (yes, really!), including another washed mint version, and the brightest of yellows.

MAC Give Me Liberty - First Look pics

MAC Give Me Liberty Lipstick Ever Hip

MAC Give Me Liberty Nail Lacquer Blue India

MAC Give Me Liberty Lipglass Perennial High Style

MAC Give Me Liberty Beauty Powder Summer Rose Soft Violet Pink With Pearl

MAC Give Me Liberty Desire Frosty

Wow! MAC's April launch of their Liberty inspired range, Give Me Liberty is absolutely stunning. I am smitten, smitten, smitten. MAC's homage to the iconic London store is personally the best collection I've seen for years. When it does hit the counters (ironically not in Liberty because there is no MAC counter), I'm predicting a waayyy long queue. Give Me Liberty will also be available online.

Tarina Tarantino Make Up Range

Queen of blingy jewellery, Tarina Tarantino used to be a make up artist, so it comes as no surprise that she has returned to her roots and developed a make up range that launches exclusively at Sephora in February. Known for her love of pink (check out that hair!), Tarina's range is a sparkly reflection of her jewels - quirky, cute and utterly desirable.

YSL Gloss Volupte and YSL Long wear Foundation

Gladly back on track after years in the no-samples-or-return-of-phone-calls freelance wilderness with the YSL press office (even the Top Secrets range passed me by completely), I've now got my hands on a few bits to ease back into the brand. Firstly, Gloss Volupte, £20, a gloss to beat all glosses. It's got enough depth of colour to act like a lipstick but with a true gloss sheen that is easily one of the best I've come across in a long time. If I say it's a crystal shine, it doesn't mean shimmery, it just means a clarity and intensity that I haven't found in gloss for ages. The colour I received is Sugared Almond - new for spring - and its a brownish nude that is perfect for my colouring. The second item I tried is YSL Long Wear Endless Comfort Transfer Resist Foundation (I know, you couldn't ask for it at the counter after even one glass of wine!) that is oil free and SPF10. This foundation is not for me. It's just too matte and while it may well not transfer, I felt the texture made my skin look dry and non-glowy. It does promise to stay put for up to 14 hours. But, in fairness I don't like anything matte, preferring a skin sheen that only comes with oil in the formula. For those with oily skin it could very well be an absolute blessing. Lastly, the most beautiful limited edition piece, the YSL Y-Mail Complexion Palette which comes in it's own little bag, inspired by the YSL Y-Mail Handbag Collection. I'd have liked, ideally, if the little bag was leather instead of a stiff cotton, but nonetheless, it's what make up magpies dream of. I'll never use it, but I will bring it out every now and again to admire, stroke and adore. I'm not sure if the foundation is out here yet...or the Y-Mail palette as I couldn't find UK prices.
